It is important that you are happy from the outset with both how it looks and how it stays in place.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The first sensations<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the early days you will probably notice a number of inconveniences:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Your tongue has less room.<\/li><li>Increased salivation.<\/li><li>A change in your speech.<\/li><li>Food tasting less flavourful.<\/li><li>Uncomfortable pressure on the gums, which may increase while chewing.<\/li><\/ul><blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>All of this is <strong>normal<\/strong> during the first week. After a few days your tongue will get used to the space taken up by your new denture, salivation will return to normal and the speech difficulties will disappear.<\/p><\/blockquote><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To make things easier, try <strong>reading aloud<\/strong> for 10 minutes during the first few days to speed up the adjustment.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Daily care<\/h2><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Take your denture out <strong>after every meal<\/strong> and clean it with a special denture brush and Marseille soap.<\/li><li>Every evening, place your denture in a glass of clean water.
