{"id":969,"date":"2026-06-29T21:51:43","date_gmt":"2026-06-29T19:51:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oracleblog.mediweb.link\/conseils\/perfect-hygiene-the-electric-toothbrush\/"},"modified":"2026-09-03T14:59:02","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T12:59:02","slug":"perfect-hygiene-electric-toothbrush","status":"publish","type":"conseil","link":"https:\/\/oracleblog.mediweb.link\/en\/advice\/perfect-hygiene-electric-toothbrush\/","title":{"rendered":"Perfect hygiene: the electric toothbrush"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why brush your teeth?<\/h2><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To remove bacteria and prevent tartar from forming, and so to fight off decay and gum disease.<\/li><li>You keep fresh breath and a bright smile!<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What kind of toothbrush?<\/h2><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Very soft bristles, so as not to damage the enamel or irritate the gums.<\/li><li>As many bristles as possible, to remove dental plaque.<\/li><li>A small head, to reach everywhere, especially right at the back behind the molars.<\/li><li>We recommend the Oral-B brand, with round brush heads.<\/li><li>Change the head every 3 months, once a season!<\/li><li>Can be complemented with a tongue scraper (for fresh breath), floss and\/or interdental brushes.<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What kind of toothpaste or mouthwash?<\/h2><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A fluoride toothpaste, suited to your age.<\/li><li>For protection against decay: Elmex Caries Protection or Elgydium Caries Protection toothpaste.<\/li><li>For sensitive teeth: Elmex Sensitive toothpaste.<\/li><li>For everyday comfort, as a daily mouthwash: Listerine Zero.<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How can you improve your daily brushing?<\/h2><ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Brush twice a day for at least 2 minutes, ideally 20 minutes after eating or drinking. Always brush the upper and lower arches separately.<\/li><li>Start by brushing the top surfaces of the teeth, without any big movements: the brush does the work for you.<\/li><li>Then run the brush flat over the outer and inner surfaces of the teeth. Tilt the brush head to 90\u00b0 to brush the inner surface of the incisors. Do the top and bottom separately.
