ICON is a modern, minimally invasive and painless treatment that masks them while preserving as much of the tooth structure as possible.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where do these stains come from?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several causes can explain the appearance of stains on the teeth:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Fluorosis stains<\/strong>, caused by too much fluoride while the teeth were forming.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Traumatic hypoplasia<\/strong> of the enamel, following a knock.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Early decay lesions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deep stains<\/strong> on the incisors and molars (MIH).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is ICON?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ICON is a <strong>resin-infiltration protocol<\/strong> that masks surface stains by filling the pores and defects in the enamel.
