The implant is the modern way to replace the lost root: a new titanium root, fully integrated into the bone, onto which a strong, natural-looking crown is fixed.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why replace a missing tooth?<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every tooth counts. Even without pain, an untreated gap has consequences: the other teeth silently take the strain, your stomach has to work harder, and the balance of the jaw is disturbed.<\/p><blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>The implant is the quality solution: fixed, comfortable, and it puts no strain on the neighbouring teeth.<\/p><\/blockquote><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is an implant made of?<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An implant has <strong>3 parts<\/strong>:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>The implant<\/strong>: the artificial titanium root, anchored in the bone.<\/li><li><strong>The abutment<\/strong> (or inlay-core): the intermediate part that connects the implant to the crown.<\/li><li><strong>The crown<\/strong>, in 100% ceramic, strong and perfectly natural-looking.<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The other solutions<\/h2><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>The bridge<\/strong>: strong, but for the medium term (10 to 15 years on average); it rests on the neighbouring teeth, which have to be trimmed down.<\/li><li><strong>The removable denture<\/strong>: in the long run the teeth carrying the clasps become loose, and comfort is limited.<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Implant prices and quality<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prices vary from brand to brand, and go down when several implants are placed.
